Setting Up your Domain Email in Microsoft Outlook

STEP 1 OPEN OUTLOOK

		Add New E-mail



	In the E-mail Accounts window, select “Add a new e-mail account” then click “Next”

STEP 3 SERVER TYPE

	Server Type Set Up Tab



		For “Server Type” select “POP3” and then Click “Next”

STEP 4 OUTGOING SERVER

		New Account Settings



Remember DO NOT check* the log in using SPA


	Follow the image above and enter your name, email address. Then replace the “yoursite” in the server information with your domain name. The user name is your full email address

STEP 5 OUTGOING SERVER


	Outgoing Server Tab Settings


	Go to Outgoing Server Tab and select My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication Tick on “Use same settings as my incoming server

STEP 6 ADVANCED TAB

	(Tick leave a “copy of message on the server” if you want to keep a copy in the online email account)

	Troubleshooting Outlook Email Set up Problems

MICROSOFT CODE	RECOMMENDED ACTION
0x800CCC69	Needs Outgoing Server Requires Authentication checked.
0x800CCC0E	Port 255? Should be port 25 or 26.
0x800CCC92	Possibly not using full email address as username. Possibly needs to reset password.
0x800CCC0D	Could be misspelled, could be propagating/unregistered, could be server down. Best solution is to use correct domain and spell correctly, and if still not working then use the server's IP instead.
0x800CCC18	User has Log on using Secure Password Authentication checked. Needs to uncheck SPA.
0x800CCC0E	Incoming port is wrong. Should be 110 for POP3 and 143 for IMAP.
